VALORANT is a first-person shooter game with a low time to kill (TTK) which means that precision will be greatly rewarded; you can’t afford to miss half of your shots if one Vandal bullet can kill you. For this reason, it’s important to choose a sensitivity setting that allows you to aim precisely. (read: an eDPI that’s not too high) while also giving you the option for quick reactions to enemies who show up in unexpected positions.
Most PC gamers have different preferences when it comes to their mouse sensitivity settings. For more experienced players, we usually see them using a lower sensitivity setting, while newer or casual gamers will use higher sensitivities in general. As far as your scope’s sensitivity goes, we recommend you set it to ‘1.’ This means that the scoped sensitivity is equal to the ADS sensitivity which makes consistency easier. Most people prefer this setting, but for those looking for a more precise experience with scoped weapons, some opt to try a lower setting. The average scoped sensitivity setting is currently sitting at 0.97.
Best Crosshair Settings for VALORANT
In VALORANT, you have a lot of ways to tweak your crosshair and make it your own. Many players ask what the ideal crosshair should look like but there is no perfect answer.
The most popular crosshair in VALORANT is the Classic Dot. This does not mean that it’s automatically your best choice, but if you want something as close to a default setting as possible, this is what we recommend. The second-most popular option is the Circle dot which mimics Counter Strike’s classic red dot; this probably won’t be someone’s favorite because of its similarity and people who enjoy diverse settings may wish for more variety than just two options. For an experience with lots of customization available, try one of these: Square Dot Crosshair or Thick Line style crosshairs. These are all customizable so feel free to experiment!
For increased visibility, you shouldn’t configure it to be too thick or large; the crosshair should never cover your vision. VALORANT has a predetermined color set for the crosshair, but these colors are in contrast to much of what you see in the game world. Pick one of the presets if you want a guaranteed look or create your own hue with custom settings. There are two options for movement error and firing error that you can turn on for every layer of the crosshair. When you are on the move or when enemies hit you, your crosshair will wobble and be less accurate.
Best Graphics Settings for VALORANT to Boost FPS
VALORANT is a competitive shooting game so players should take advantage of any opportunities to increase their performance. VALORANT is a game designed to run well on low-end hardware. VALORANT doesn’t require drastic changes to the graphics settings, as it runs smoothly even for those with a low-end computer.
To alter the majority of your graphics settings, you’ll need to head in to the settings menu and click on the “video” tab. For the first three options (Display mode, Resolution, and Frame rate limit), navigate to the “general” tab.
If you’ve put “High/Medium” or “8x/4x,” select the display setting that works best for your system. When tweaking your graphics settings for VALORANT, you can leave things higher if your computer is super powerful (but don’t overdo it if this isn’t the case).
