As the VALORANT E-sports community continues to expand, Red Bull, one of the most active sponsors in the video game business, has announced its tournament. Red Bull Gaming is hosting the VALORANT ‘Home Ground’ Invitational, including the best teams in the EU. The official event will commence on January 28, but the free-to-enter qualification round will start on January 23. The top 8 teams are competing for a prize pool of £24,000 ($33,000).
So far, the following teams have formally entered the tournament:
- G2 Esports
- Team Liquid
- Ninjas in Pyjamas
- SUMN FC
- Futbolist
- Guild Esports
The tournament runs from 28-31 January. Fans will be able to catch the Red Bull Official Twitch on https://www.twitch.tv/redbull.
The Special Guest Team will also be part of the excitement as the 7th team. Although the 8th team will be a wildcard during this tournament, it will be a good team to win the open qualification game before the main event begins. Qualifying can take place in teams with a combined total of 64 registrations. The tournament has a $29,000 prize pool.
Home Ground is Red Bull’s first Valorant game, as the company is moving towards building a name for itself in a competitive FPS. The brand has been partnering with other Riot Games activities, including League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics.
Registration is now online, and if your squad is based in Europe, you can sign up for the event on the Official smash Tournament website. Players that make it through the qualifying will face off against the teams who have been invited for a prize pool of £24,000 ($32,800).
